• Travelling regionally to a variety of sites to carry out testing, maintenance and installation of fire and smoke dampers.
• Handling tools of various types, including heavy equipment, and ensuring safe set‑up.
• Performing physical activities such as testing, maintaining and installing a wide range of fire and smoke damper systems.
• Adhering to safety guidelines while on the job site.
• Keeping all tools and equipment clean and in good repair.
• Removing debris and waste from the site.
• Ensuring all specifications are met, including industry best practice, manufacturers’ literature and standard product details.
• Accurately reporting all work using EDSBs reporting platform.

• Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services, including ventilation systems.
• Good practical skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience in the passive fire & fire stopping industry (beneficial).
• Recognised fire damper inspection qualification.
• Manual dexterity and coordination skills.
• Physical strength and stamina.
• Strong work ethic.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Reliability and initiative.
• Willingness to go the extra mile.
• Excellent time‑keeping and time‑management skills.
• Self‑motivated team player; demonstrates professionalism, positivity and proactiveness.
• Willingness to travel and stay away for jobs where necessary.
• Full clean UK driving licence.

Working hours are 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch break. Salary will be discussed at interview stage.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a BS7858 Employment Screening and an Enhanced DBS check.
