This position will be working with male victims of domestic abuse as well as working with healthcare professionals.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Provide practical and emotional support to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.
  • Support clients in making their homes safer and refer clients to other IDAS services, external agencies, counselling, or refuge accommodation where appropriate.
  • Liaise with external agencies such as housing, health, social services, police, and legal professionals to advocate for clients.
  • Refer high‑risk clients to the Multi‑Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and represent them as needed.
  • Complete risk assessments and develop effective safety plans tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Identify and report safeguarding concerns in line with IDAS policies.
  • Participate in the delivery of a helpline and out‑of‑hours support on a rota basis.
  • Promote awareness of domestic abuse and IDAS services through training and partnership work.
  • Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion by ensuring services are accessible and responsive to the needs of all communities, including those who are underrepresented or marginalised.

Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months
