Deputy Home Manager - Children's Residential Care (Challenging Behaviours)

Muve Healthcare are looking for an experienced and resilient Deputy Home Manager to join our team supporting a child with complex needs and highly challenging behaviours within a specialist residential setting.

This is a rewarding but demanding role requiring someone with strong leadership skills, excellent behavioural support knowledge, and experience working with children and young people presenting significant risks and complex behaviours.

You will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, staff support, and positive outcomes for the young person.

You MUST have worked in one of the following environments:

• CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services)
• FCAMHS (Forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services)
• Secure Units
• Psychiatric Wards
• Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU)
• Residential Children's Homes
• Supported Living Services
• Learning Disabilities Services
• Mental Health Services

• Aggression and violence
• Self-harming behaviours
• Suicide attempts and suicidal ideation
• Property damage and destructive behaviours
• Absconding and missing-from-care incidents
• Sexualised behaviours
• Substance misuse
• Weapons-related incidents

• Support the Registered Manager in leading and managing the home
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the care team
• Promote positive behaviour support strategies
• Manage incidents safely and effectively
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and care practice
• Support care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management plans
• Build positive relationships with the child, staff team, and external professionals
• Ensure the home meets regulatory and quality standards

• PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) Training
