Screen and assess safeguarding contacts and referrals, identifying levels of need, risk, and appropriate interventions for children and families. Gather, analyse, and evaluate information from partner agencies to inform safeguarding decisions and threshold determinations. Undertake robust risk assessments and make timely recommendations regarding statutory intervention, early help, or universal services. Work collaboratively with police, health, education, and other partner agencies to ensure effective information sharing and multi-agency decision-making.
Provide safeguarding advice, guidance, and consultation to professionals, agencies, and stakeholders. Ensure children at risk of harm are identified promptly and appropriate protective action is taken in accordance with legislation and local procedures. Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records, assessments, and reports in line with statutory requirements and service standards. Contribute to a fast-paced duty service, prioritising workload effectively while ensuring children and families receive the right support at the right time.
Requirements of this role:
Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England. Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
