Class 1 Driver

Job Summary

GI Group are currently recruiting multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers for our internationally known client in Sheffield (S35). The company provides courier services worldwide, focusing on the express road‑based market and offering services such as delivery, freight forwarding, and logistics. They operate in numerous countries and are known for their technology, customer service, and commitment to sustainability.

• Class 1 Drivers to work afternoon shifts on an ad‑hoc basis.
• Monday to Friday.
• Weekend work available (optional).
• Average 12‑hour shift.

• Monday to Friday: £20.34 per hour (PAYE, includes advanced holiday pay).
• Saturday: £26.35 per hour.
• Sunday: £29.41 per hour.

• Conduct vehicle checks.
• Perform trunking work to depots.
• Deliver safely to customers throughout the UK.
• Prioritise workload to ensure time commitments are met.

• A presentable appearance, eye for detail and a positive attitude.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes.
• Hold a valid, in‑date tachograph & CPC.
• Good customer service skills.
• At least 12 months experience as a Class 1 driver.
