Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday - Thursday 7:30 - 16:15 & Friday 7:30 - 15:00

• Collecting waste from various areas of the site and processing the waste arisings according to type, using containers such as FELs, skips, 1100‑litre bins, pallet trucks and drums.
• Operating hazardous dry waste in a drum compactor, Linde/Hyster owned forklift truck, tail‑lift vehicle, 34T FEL vehicle, 7.5T curtain sider and 17T skip vehicle.
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of waste vehicles.
• Completing daily check sheets and relevant defect sheets, as applicable.
• Segregating and sorting waste streams in the waste yard and storage facility before disposal.
• Collecting, storing and processing non‑routine waste under the instruction of the Veolia Supervisor and/or Contract Manager.
• Assisting with waste‑yard duties at the discretion of the Supervisor and/or Contract Manager, within training capability.

• Class 2 licence
• Up‑to‑date CPC / drivers card (qualified for appropriate vehicle)
• Full UK driving licence

• Forklift truck licence
• In‑drum compactor training
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety law, including COSHH
