We are recruiting reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers for ongoing work. The role primarily involves trailer swaps, with nights spent away from base throughout the working week.
The role- Completing trailer swaps at designated depots and delivery points
- Tramping throughout the UK
- Nights out in the vehicle
- Carrying out daily vehicle and trailer safety checks
- Completing all required paperwork accurately
- Keeping the vehicle clean and presentable
- Following drivers' hours, Working Time Directive and site procedures
- Providing a safe and professional service at all times
- Ongoing Class 1 tramping work
- Regular trailer-swap routes
- Opportunity to stay in the same unit, subject to availability
- Consistent work and support from the transport team
- Night-out payments where applicable
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Tramping experience preferred
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and road transport regulations
- A professional, dependable and flexible approach
- Comfortable spending nights away from home
