Position: FLT Driver / Picker

National Timber Systems, part of Premier Forest Products Group, is looking to recruit an FLT Driver / Picker at its site on Oxclose Park Road North, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S20 8GN
.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable and able to work effectively in a busy working environment. They should demonstrate a proactive attitude, have good attention to detail and work well as part of a team.

Previous experience operating a forklift truck and picking orders within a warehouse, manufacturing or timber environment would be preferred.

What you will be doing…
  • Operating a forklift truck safely and efficiently.
  • Picking timber and other products accurately in accordance with customer orders.
  • Checking product descriptions, quantities and measurements before orders are dispatched.
  • Moving stock and finished products around the site.
  • Preparing completed orders for loading and dispatch.
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles when required.
  • Carrying out daily checks on forklift trucks and reporting any defects or concerns.
  • Completing relevant paperwork accurately.
  • Ensuring effective stock rotation.
  • Reporting damaged, missing or incorrectly stored stock.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area.
  • Carrying out duties in accordance with Company health and safety requirements.
  • Following Company policies and procedures at all times.
What we are looking for…
  • Previous experience operating a forklift truck.
  • A valid FLT licence or recognised certification.
  • Previous order-picking or warehouse experience would be advantageous.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to pick orders accurately.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • A reliable and flexible approach to work.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
