We have a vacancy for a PU Foam Graduate Chemist working at our Henlow site. Duties will include planning and performing experiments, such as formulation or material testing, supporting the chemical manager on projects and activities.

• Apply chemistry fundamentals to design and troubleshoot formulations, understand ingredient interactions and optimise end use performance across target applications.
• Screen additives and analyse formulation impacts on properties.
• Product Testing:
  Conduct physical and analytical testing, quality analysis, new product validation and operation support.
• Regulatory Compliance: provide information and ensure that all formulations meet environmental and safety standards (e.g., REACH, RoHS, VOC regulations).
• Technical Documentation:
  Maintain detailed lab notebooks, contribute to Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Support the USA brand on PU chemistry related to new product development and/or problem-solving analysis as needed.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, polymer science, or chemical engineering.
• Experience with analytical equipment such as FTIR.
• Strong problem-solving, data analysis, team collaboration and a high safety mindset.
