Job Duties Benefits Generalist

As a Benefits Generalist, you will support the day-to-day administration of Sky West, Inc. employee benefit programs, including health insurance, life insurance, 401(k), and other benefit offerings. The Benefits Department operates in a fast-paced environment and requires the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Sky West benefit programs and policies.
  • Perform data entry and maintain employee benefit records within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding benefit enrollment and eligibility inquiries.
  • Calculate and verify employee benefit premiums and payroll deductions.
  • Reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies related to missed or unpaid premiums.
  • Assist with benefits-related email communications and departmental correspondence.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring accurate data entry and communicating benefit information clearly and effectively to employees.
  • Support the Benefits Department with administrative tasks, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and perform well under pressure in high-demand situations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally and confidentially.
Physical and Other Requirements
  • Sitting at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • This is not a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position
