Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Machinist (Fab & Weld) with all‑around skills to join our integration team. The Machinist is responsible to set up and operate manual and automated machines for building jigs, fixtures, and tooling used in metal part manufacturing. This role involves hands‑on prototype and production machining, fabricating complex precision parts to specifications using lathes, mills, grinders, boring mills, and other fabrication equipment.
You will select and secure fixtures, tools, and materials, maintain equipment, and verify finished work meets quality standards. The ability to complete weld tasks is a plus.
This position operates in a manufacturing site environment. This is a safety‑sensitive role, which includes working around moving equipment and machinery.
Work Type & Expected HoursRegularly works on‑site at local Paslin location, either Hoover, 10‑Mile or Cherry Creek. Must be flexible to work at any of these three locations as needed for an extended period of time. Typical work schedule for this role is 6am‑2:30pm, Monday to Friday. During critical phases of the project, work hours may flex up to 12 hours per day. This position is for regular, full‑time work and may require coming in early, working late, or working on weekends to meet the needs of the business.
PhysicalDemands
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. Occasionally required to lift/push/pull up to 25lbs. Will use hands and vision to operate power and manual tools and HMI interfaces.
This is a safety sensitive role, which includes working around moving equipment and machinery.
This position requires flexibility to report to multiple Paslin sites. During an installation project this role will require overnight travel to customer sites for periods of up to 12 days at a time over a period of multiple consecutive months. Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to sites in USA, Canada and Mexico.
Candidate Qualifications- 3+ years’ experience in a machine tool shop
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Knowledge of welding and machining techniques
- Familiar with the set up and operation of lathes, mills, shapers, grinders, boring mills, saws, drills, and other fabrication machinery.
- Candidates should be able to read and interpret advanced engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerances, and have strong knowledge of mechanical principles, mathematics, and machining procedures.
- Experience with care and maintenance of industrial machine tools and proficiency in operating various fabrication machinery is required.
