• Set up Proto Trak SMX mill operator/programmer machines by installing and adjusting fixtures, attachments, and tooling according to job requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and engineering specifications to determine machining operations and requirements
• Adjust machines and select appropriate cutting tools, speeds and feeds for each operation
• Load raw materials into machines and position them correctly for machining
• Operate machines to perform milling, drilling, boring and other machining operations
• Monitor machine operation, making necessary adjustments to ensure the production of high-quality parts
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during machine operations
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
• Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety guidelines and regulations
• Interface with customers and vendors as necessary
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) as a Machinist
• In-depth knowledge of milling machines and their operations
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, drawings and engineering specifications
• Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, speeds and feeds
• Frequently moves, lifts, transports, positions, and installs equipment and material greater than 20 lbs
• Must own and have experience with using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high quality work
• Ability to manage time and meet project deadlines
