The Staff Accountant will assist the department with daily, monthly and quarterly tasks, including but not limited to, preparing journal entries as assigned, intercompany billings, department financial and forecast review, fixed assets, ad hoc projects, backup support role - Accounts Payable, and supporting the Controller or Finance Manager in carrying out responsibilities as needed.
What You’ll Do:- Maintain and reconcile select balance sheet accounts. Including but not limited to: cash, prepaids expenses and other asset and liability accounts;
- Prepare and upload monthly Intercompany billing packages: review support for completeness & accuracy and prepare any adjusting entries identified during the review process;
- Process and upload monthly PCARD transactions; review data for proper or missing coding and contact departments that are missing data to resolve open items;
- Assist with the monthly review and distribution of department profit & loss statements and actual vs. forecast schedules, to include preparing any adjusting entries identified during the review process or communicated by the department heads;
- Collect responses from department managers for explanations on unusual items and actuals vs forecast variances;
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties and projects as assigned;
- Assist with interim and year end audit requests, both external and internal audits;
- Comply with internal financial controls and procedures;
- Adhere to company standards, policies, and procedures;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Required
Education and Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience working in a finance/accounting or similar function. - Preferred
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting. - Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines concurrently;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team setting;
- Ability to work independently and identify process improvements where warranted
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles & processes: month end close, accounts payable and accrual, journal entries and reconciliations.

- Attention to detail
- Ability to effectively use MS applications such as Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc;
- Experience with JDEdwards, Hubble, and One Stream suite of products a plus.
