Physician​/Cardiology​/North Carolina​/Locum Tenens​/Locum Tenens General Cardiology in NC

We are seeking a board-certified General Cardiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in North Carolina, near the Shelby area. This position offers an excellent chance to work with a skilled team in a supportive environment.

• Coverage Need: Weekend night call coverage.
  • Friday through Sunday evening shifts.
  • Hours:
    • Friday: 5 PM (or as late as 8 PM, if commuting) to 7 AM the next morning.
    • Saturday and Sunday: 6 PM to 7 AM.
• Responsibilities:
  • In-house coverage for Cardiac ICU admissions and management.
  • Handle cases such as STEMI, unstable VT and VF, and cardiogenic shock with support from Interventional, EP, and Heart Failure teams (available for backup from home).
  • Must possess ECG and ECHO reading skills.
• Support: An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will assist during each shift.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner system in use.

• Active North Carolina medical license and DEA certification (submissions without these credentials cannot be considered).
• Board certification in Cardiology.
• Comfort with high-acuity cardiology cases in a critical care setting.

• Duration: January 1, 2025 June 30, 2025.
• Shift Type: Night coverage, Friday through Sunday.
