The position requires the following qualifications:
SpecialEducation:
General Curriculum Licensure
- Hold or be eligible to hold a teaching license in the Special
Education:
General Curriculum license area (88091). - Non-licensed, residency licensure candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 2.7 GPA and 24 semester hours of related courses OR achieve passing scores on the Praxis II test 5543, Pearson Foundations of Reading test and either the Praxis 7813 Math test or the Math subtest of the Pearson General Curriculum test.
- Related courses may include:
Birth-Kindergarten, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, English/Language Arts, Family Studies, Mathematics, Psychology, Reading, Sciences, Social Studies, Sociology, Special Education. - Eligibility for the residency entry license must be established prior to a contract offer.
