AboutThe Role
As a Safety Representative at United Utility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well‑being of our team members and the communities we serve. Your expertise will directly impact our business by upholding the highest safety standards, fostering a culture of safety awareness, and helping us maintain our industry‑leading position. Key Responsibilities- Implement and oversee safety programs and policies on construction sites.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide safety training to employees and contractors.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes and recommending preventative measures.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into all aspects of construction.
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in the transmission and distribution industry and 2 years in safety.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP)
- Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS)
- Excel experience
