Environmental Services Technician - Advocate/Atrium Health Cleveland - 2nd Shift PRN

Atrium Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician. This position promotes environmental protection by maintaining healthy and safe medical facilities for employees and visitors.

• Starting pay: $18.50/hour
• Pay range: $18.50 – $27.75 per hour

• Schedule Details/Additional Information: PRN as needed
• Sign-On Bonus: $750 (included; paid at 90 days and 1 year of service)

• Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas, including but not limited to: dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures; washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixtures; sweeping, scrubbing and refinishing floors; vacuuming and shampooing carpet; restocking restrooms; replacing light bulbs; reporting repairs.
• Most work is indoors but may include outdoor cleaning such as parking lots, windows, and roof; may involve use of a ladder.
• Removes waste by collecting and transporting soiled linen, emptying trash containers, changing sharps containers, transporting solid and hazardous waste to compactors, recycling materials, and emptying cigarette receptacles in smoking areas.
• Keeps equipment clean and orderly and reports equipment failures or other mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
• Maintains safe working environment and provides quality service by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, infection control guidelines, and department quality standards.
• Attends required in-service education and training classes including safety update programs to maintain technical knowledge.
• Demonstrates ability to meet time schedules and deadlines.

• Preferred:
  High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferred:
  One year experience
• Ability to prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers
