Job Purpose and SummaryIn our Retail locations, Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise. Technicians are the first point of contact to assist our patients and customers to deliver an exceptional experience.
Responsibilities- Follow all company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Show empathy and genuine care by creating heartfelt moments and providing care during pick‑up, drive‑thru, and over the phone.
- Complete inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, and returns‑to‑stocks.
- Contribute to a high‑performing team by embracing a growth mindset, seeking feedback, and expanding clinical and technical knowledge.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, voluntarily traveling to stores as required.
- Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and CVS policies for patient safety and privacy.
- Deliver additional patient health care services such as immunizations and point‑of‑care testing where supported.
- Complete licensure and training requirements to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
- Educate patients on vaccine importance and refer to Pharmacist‑on‑duty for vaccination questions.
- Monitor and report adverse reactions per public health requirements.
- Track and document patient vaccine information and manage supplies.
- State board of pharmacy licensure or national certification; must meet all state legal requirements.
- At least 16 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent, or currently enrolled in high school.
- Successful completion of company training and certification requirements.
- Ability to work predictable hours, including nights and weekends, and to comply with training timelines.
- 1–3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Willingness to work home store and travel to other market locations as needed.
Anticipated weekly hours: 15; part‑time position. Pay range: $16.50 – $25.00 per hour.
