• Location: Shelby, North Carolina 28150
• Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – 32 beds
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (8/25/2025 – 11/22/2025)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570 - $1680
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: 75% of holidays during contract
• Scrub Color: Navy

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 18 months of recent PCU RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency in tracheostomies, cardiac drips, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood product administration, wound care, and central line management
• Ability to float within the region and scope of practice as needed
• Experience with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors preferred

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with CHF, dysrhythmias, chest pain, stroke, abdominal illnesses, respiratory issues, diabetes, kidney conditions, and substance withdrawal
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 (may be 1:5 depending on acuity)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomists, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists
• Perform and document assessments, administer medications, monitor telemetry, and deliver wound and central line care
• Float to other healthcare facilities within the region as required, with paid travel time if floating mid-shift
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training to ensure compliance with facility standards
