Cost Accountant

Cost accountant for a leading supplier to the industrial and residential markets.

Base pay range: $65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Salary up to $80,000.00 + 12% bonus. Travel up to 10% during peak periods.

• Record, review, and audit financial transactions in compliance with GAAP.
• Reconcile assigned accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Analyze variances and present monthly financial reviews to management.
• Develop direct labor and overhead rates for planning and standard cost comparisons.
• Contribute to quarterly reforecasting and annual budgeting.
• Provide accounting support to plant locations as needed.
• Assist in creating and maintaining company policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and safeguard assets.
• Actively promote company mission, vision, code of conduct, and 5S + Safety initiatives.
• Travel up to 10% during peak periods.
• Perform additional accounting duties as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• ERP system experience required;
  Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta) preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and written skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
