About the Role

As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required preventative maintenance and service
• Perform a variety of logistic equipment maintenance functions and quickly respond to any immediate maintenance issues
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
• Detect faulty operations and defective materials, document, and report issues
• Coordinate with external vendors to ensure work quality
• Comply with safety regulations; maintain a clean and organized work area such as lock out tag out and 5S
• Use full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists; climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
• Perform other tasks as assigned and work overtime and weekends if needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in a maintenance role in a warehousing/industrial environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds each, and occasionally a push and pull wheeled dolly with products up to 100 pounds
• Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
• Can stand or walk for up to 8 hours at a time

Your typical schedule will be Monday - Friday, from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. The role is paid weekly at $30.00 per hour with a full benefits package.
