Position Summary

Pharmacy Technicians play a crucial role in delivering compassionate care, supporting the team to promptly, safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions while providing service that exceeds customer expectations. Whether you are new to pharmacy work or an experienced technician, we provide an environment where you can grow your clinical, technical and insurance knowledge through training and ongoing development.

Job Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will perform the following duties:

  • Assist in medication dispensing, including counting and labeling.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to federal, state and local regulations.
  • Support daily pharmacy operations such as inventory control, drug compounding and compliance audits.
  • Offer courteous customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to ensure medication safety and quality.
  • Complete job‑specific training and maintain licensure, registration and certification as required.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including COVID‑19 vaccination requirements where applicable.
  • Perform physical tasks such as standing for prolonged periods, moving on foot, lifting up to 30 lbs and operating pharmacy equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and document all pharmacy activities.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to enhance your professional skills.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Licensure requirements vary by state.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus.
  • Customer Service Orientation – friendly assistance and appropriate response to customers.
  • Effective communication skills – verbal and written, with active listening.
  • Mathematical reasoning – ability to calculate daily medication supply.
  • Problem resolution skills – judgment of when something is wrong and selecting the best course of action.
Physical Demands
  • Remain upright on feet for prolonged periods and move on foot to complete tasks.
  • Pick, pinch or type with fingers and extend arms in any direction.
  • Bend forward or stoop while using lower extremity and back muscles.
  • Use spoken word and verbal communications accurately.
  • Possess close visual acuity for tasks such as transcribing and reading small details.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs or exerting up to 30 lbs of force.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical or customer service setting.
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • PTCB National Certification.
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Anticipated Weekly Hours

29 hours per week.

Time Type

Part‑time.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $16.50 – $25.00 per hour. The actual offer will vary based on experience, education and geography.
