Hotel General Manager

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 per year, plus performance-based incentives

Holiday Inn Express in Shelbyville, KY, is seeking an experienced, hands-on Hotel General Manager to lead daily operations, develop a high-performing team, and drive the overall success of our property.

• Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, breakfast service, and maintenance.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members while fostering a positive, accountable work environment.
• Manage budgets, control expenses, monitor occupancy, and identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.
• Ensure excellent guest satisfaction and resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Maintain Holiday Inn Express brand standards, cleanliness, safety, and quality assurance requirements.
• Build local business relationships and implement strategies to grow occupancy and revenue.

• Previous Hotel General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to develop and hold a team accountable.
• Understanding of hotel financials, budgeting, labor management, and revenue performance.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
