Job DescriptionWe’re seeking a safety‑conscious experienced forklift operator to move products, equipment, and materials in a warehouse, yard, or factory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Read work orders and follow oral instructions for moving materials.
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand or with lift trucks.
- Load materials into or onto feeding devices or vehicles, and install strapping or bracing to prevent shifting or damage.
- Convey materials to or from storage and work areas using lift trucks or other devices.
- Secure lifting attachments and convey loads to destination.
- Weigh materials or products and record weight or quantity on tags, labels, or production reports.
- Check lubrications, fill fuel tank, change batteries, or replace liquefied gas tank.
- May load and unload trucks.
- Keep all required records and maintain forklift cleanliness.
- Follow all verbal and written instructions pertaining to material handling and any other jobs assigned.
- Empty trash each shift.
- When assigned to inventory, maintain raw materials area in a clean, orderly manner; deliver raw material to the production line as needed; receive incoming raw material and unload raw material trucks.
- 1st shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday
- 3rd shift: 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM, Monday to Thursday, $1.50 /hr premium
- Weekend Day: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Friday to Sunday, $3 /hr premium
Employees hired may train on the 1st shift; the startup schedule is subject to change.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience using forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse setting; proficiency with computers and completing paperwork.
- Ability to achieve and maintain forklift certification.
- Availability to work open shifts and overtime as required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Experience using Global Shop Solutions or a similar ERP software.
