Overview
Runner EDQ is looking for a Sales Leader to become a member of our Center of Excellence Team. You must enjoy working in a team environment and possess strong selling, leadership, technical and analytical skills. Runner EDQ offers data quality enterprise server products, data quality services, and Cloud-based solutions.

Reporting to the Sales Leader
- Account Manager
- Associate Account Manager
- Hires and trains account managers and team members
- Oversees and manages the performance of account managers, assisting with closing deals for new accounts and up-sells to existing accounts
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Handles discipline and recommends termination of employees to the Executive Council per company policy
- Provides overall leadership to the sales team
- Motivates and encourages the sales team to meet or exceed quotas
- Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets
- Consults with prospects to understand their needs; identifies and suggests products, services, or custom solutions that will meet those needs
- Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies
- Prepares sales budget; monitors and approves expenses
- In collaboration with Marketing, acts as company representative at trade shows
- Trains and assists the accounts managers with prospecting, product expertise, discovery sessions, alignment to needs, justify the ROI, demoing, selling, and presenting expertise, pricing, quoting, negotiating, closing
- Assist with updating and creating department processes, procedures, policies
- Keeps abreast of Runner company products and services as well as the competitive landscape and can articulate Runner’s capabilities and services offerings to clients
General Duties
- Manage the sales team
- Generate new leads
- Assign leads to account team members following fairness policies
- Convert qualified leads provided by marketing to opportunities
- Assist account team with closing
- Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly sales activity reporting
- Close new deals of your own - engage in strategic and consultative conversations with clients at multiple levels: CIO, VP, Registrar, and functional users
Essential
- Technical knowledge:
Oracle, Higher Ed ERPs (Banner, Colleague, Campus Solutions), other verticals (People Soft, JD Edwards, Oracle E-Business Suite, Salesforce) - Excellent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software skills
- Excellent sales and customer service abilities with proven negotiation skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills - written, verbal and presentation skills
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Management, or related discipline
- Experience utilizing a consultative sales approach
- Proven record of sales leadership experience
- Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in educational technology, software sales or services, selling into educational institutions, state systems, government, or private sector
