Job Summary

Guardian Pharmacy, a member of the Guardian family of pharmacies, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician – Fulfillment I in Shelbyville, Tennessee. This position supports medication management for seniors and individuals with complex care needs. The role operates Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5:30 pm, with one Saturday or Sunday per month 7:30 am‑4:00 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling prescriptions from inventory.
  • Apply labels to medication packaging, scan, and assemble into appropriate bins accurately and timely.
  • Alert pharmacist of any medication that does not scan properly.
  • Participate in training and development activities for workflow proficiency.
  • Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supplies.
  • Maintain inventory levels, remove expired/unused meds, mark used bottles and keep inventory neat.
  • Consistently meet pharmacy’s accuracy and productivity standards.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation, replenish stock supplies.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding medication dispensing.
  • Perform other essential functions as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Pharmacy Technician license, registration, or certification (per state requirements); national certification (PTCB) preferred.
  • 1+ years of related experience, or technical knowledge/skills substituting for experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptable in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Quality‑minded, motivated to identify errors and inquire about inaccuracies.
