Albéa is a global leader in beauty, personal care, oral care, pharmaceutical and food packaging. Our site, Albéa Shelbyville is specialized in Laminate Tubes for Oral, Cosmetic & Pharmaceutical Markets.

Scope

To keep production line operating according to Production, Quality, EHS, Spoilage, Efficiency and Customer Standards

Main activities
  • Review specifications and monitor production of tubes to ensure compliance with customer requirements
  • Monitor operation of production equipment to ensure efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Troubleshoot equipment and make routine repairs and adjustments when necessary to maintain quality and production
  • Maintain safe operating standards
  • Visually inspect tubes for defects (routine quality checks) and before packaging perform routine quality checks
  • Notify production mechanic, supervisor and auditor of defects found
  • Transfer tubes from production line to boxes/pallets
  • Apply packaging labels as required
  • Report quality and packing issues to supervision
  • Perform routine trouble-shooting on auto packer
  • Make boxes as required
  • In feed cartons into auto packer
  • Clear jams and start/stop auto packer as required
  • Supply components to the line
  • Keep area and equipment neat and organized as per a 5S environment
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as required
Accountability including KPIs
  • Ensure to handle product in a safely manner and ensure that product is produced in accordance to product specification to prevent excessive scrap.
  • Conduct changeovers in a timely manner.

Ensure to maintain equipment running in a efficient and safe manner in order to meet scheduled production output.

Profile (Experience & qualifications)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous production experience desired
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through work experience or vocational training
  • Basic math skills and knowledge of data collection methods
  • Good communications skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to work overtime or non-regular hours as necessary
  • Willingness to adhere to Company safety rules and requirements
  • Ability to work well within a Team Environment
  • Manual Dexterity, ability to maintain brisk pace of production
