Location: Shelbyville, TN Salary: $ USD Annually – $ USD Annually Description:
Hands-on automotive manufacturing engineering role focused on launch support, continuous improvement, production troubleshooting, tooling/equipment support, and manufacturing process optimization within a Tier 1 environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support new product launches and manufacturing process development
Develop manufacturing documentation including routings, work instructions, PFMEA/process documentation
Support tooling and equipment sourcing/implementation
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on:
Scrap reduction
Downtime reduction
Efficiency improvements
Labor/manning optimization
Provide day-to-day production line support and troubleshooting
Conduct time studies and routing maintenance
Support equipment improvements, error proofing, and standardization
Assist with run-at-rate activities and manufacturing readiness
Coordinate with suppliers on tooling/equipment purchases
Support quality and process deviation documentation
Ideal Candidate Background:
- Tier 1 automotive supplier experience
- High-volume manufacturing environments
- Launch-focused manufacturing engineering experience
- Hands-on floor support/process engineering background
- Strong troubleshooting and continuous improvement mindset

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
- 1-4 years of manufacturing engineering experience
