Job Duties And Responsibilities 1 – Skilled and Devoted Team Members
- Comply with all company policies, programs, and directives as specified by your manager and in the Team Member Manual.
- Achieve certification as a Scanning Coordinator by completing orientation, certification, online training, and ongoing training.
- Participate in setting and achieving goals to advance skills and engagement during evaluation.
- Deliver excellent guest service through friendly and courteous behavior by greeting, assisting, and responding to guests’ needs.
- Maintain good working relationships with all departments and managers to ensure smooth flow of products and service throughout the store.
- Possess knowledge and ability of all fundamentals of scanning, including pulling in price changes, verifying, adjusting sales, removing old ads, and creating new signage.
- Maintain KVI pricing by comparing the monthly list.
- Submit Movement and Scan Down Reports on a weekly basis.
- Ensure the weekly ad is hung by 10:30 am on or before Wednesday.
- Organize and maintain a schedule for department sign requests (TPR’s, ads, new items) and return to departments promptly.
- Ensure adequate supplies by proper ordering to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Promote a high level of morale and respect within the department and store through honest, open communication.
- Maintain a clean environment inside the office and store by limiting clutter and ensuring signs are properly hung.
- Maintain company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity.

- High School diploma or GED; related experience or training acceptable.
- None required for certificates/licenses.
- Minimum age 18.
- Preferred: previous scanning experience.
- Basic math skills (money, weight, measurement, volume, plus/minus, division, percentages).
- Basic computer skills; knowledge of Excel preferred.
- Equipment: computer, printers, FM unit.
- Occasional 0‑25%
- Regularly 25‑75%
- Constantly over 75%
- Standing, walking, carrying, color vision, climbing step stool & ladder, hearing, talking, speaking/articulation, prolonged sitting, driving a motorized vehicle, manual dexterity, grasping/squeezing, kneeling, crawling, balancing, sustaining bending, operating foot controls, crouching, pushing/pulling, repetitive motion, typing, mousing, feeling, overhead reaching, floor to shoulder lift, waist to shoulder lift, overhead lift.
