A well-established manufacturing and distribution company in Milford, CT is seeking an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys owning day-to-day transactional accounting while working closely with internal teams and external partners.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice entry, matching, approvals, and payment runs
Manage Accounts Receivable functions such as invoicing, cash application, and customer follow-up
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Assist with month-end close activities related to AP/AR
Maintain accurate records and support audits as needed
Communicate professionally with vendors and customers to resolve billing or payment issues
Support continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls
2+ years of experience in AP and AR or a similar accounting role
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
