Overview

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Vendor and Business Operations Manager
. This role will lead the oversight of vendor partnerships—specifically key ratings, research, pricing, and data providers—with a portfolio exceeding $7M. The role will focus on performance management, vendor governance, invoice reconciliation, process improvement, and project coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Vendor Relationship Management
    . Build and maintain effective partnerships with vendors through regular engagement and performance feedback.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for supplier delivery issues and ensure contractual commitments are understood and met.
  • Contract and Performance Oversight
    . Manage vendor contractual obligations, monitor service levels, and track key performance indicators to inform reviews and negotiations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, business reviews, and support the vendor selection and onboarding process.
  • Expense Management
    . Reconcile and process vendor invoices, troubleshoot discrepancies, and maintain accurate expense records.
  • Support automation and optimization of expense processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement & Collaboration
    . Partner with Investment teams to document, streamline, and enhance contract management workflows.
  • Develop reporting tools and dashboards to evaluate vendor performance and expense trends.
  • Project Management
    . Drive operational initiatives and manage small- to mid-sized projects, ensuring alignment on scope, budget, risk, and timelines.
  • Contribute to business readiness efforts and manage competing priorities effectively.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced), with strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Solid understanding of process improvement, risk mitigation, and vendor governance
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
