Responsibilities include supervising professional or technical staff and managing the day-to-day activities related to construction management and administrative/financial matters for assigned projects. - Verify that construction is performed per contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
- Manage inspection services to achieve on-time and on-budget completion.
- Review and ensure daily narratives, daily labor, and time and material reports are completed accurately and timely.
- Coordinate construction work with facility operations, maintenance, other contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Review contract drawings for constructability, staging, and logistics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field.
- 15+ years of experience in multi-discipline transportation construction projects for CTDOT with emphasis on bridge rehabilitation and reconstruction.
- A licensed Professional Engineer is required.
- Moveable bridge experience is a plus.
- Project experience in excess of $30 million is preferred.
- Knowledge in using Microsoft Office, Primavera, Site Manager, SharePoint, and/or other contract management software.
