Resident Engineer – Highway Construction

Responsibilities include supervising professional or technical staff and managing the day-to-day activities related to construction management and administrative/financial matters for assigned projects. • Verify that construction is performed per contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes and standards
• Manage inspection services to achieve on-time and on-budget completion
• Review and ensure daily narratives, daily labor, and time and material reports are completed accurately and timely
• Coordination of construction work with facility, maintenance, other contractors, and other stakeholders
• Review contract drawings for constructability, staging, and logistics

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field
• 15+ years of experience in multi-discipline transportation construction projects for CTDOT is required with an emphasis on bridge rehabilitation and reconstruction
• A licensed Professional Engineer is required
• Project experience in excess of $30 million is preferred
