Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 (based on experience)

Alpha Capital is growing rapidly across real estate investing, lending, brokerage, and property management, and our financial complexity has officially outgrown basic bookkeeping.

We are hiring an Assistant Controller to serve as the direct financial right hand to the CEO
, bringing discipline, accuracy, and structure to a growing multi‑entity organization.

This is not a back‑office accounting role.

This is a leadership‑track opportunity with a clear path to becoming Controller.

You will sit directly below the CEO with:

• No CFO above you
• No Controller above you
• Direct exposure to leadership and decision‑making

You will oversee existing accounting staff while elevating the accounting function from transaction‑focused work to true financial management and control
.

This role is about reviewing, improving, structuring, and leading
— not doing everything yourself.

• Oversee and review property‑level and corporate accounting across multiple entities
• Ensure timely, accurate monthly closes
• Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls
• Identify and resolve issues before they reach leadership

• Prepare and improve monthly financial reporting packages
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Translate financial data into clear insights for leadership
• Provide financial clarity across acquisitions, lending, brokerage, and property management

• Manage and support accounting staff (AP, AR, bookkeeping)
• Improve workflows, close checklists, and reporting timelines
• Implement scalable systems and best practices
• Serve as the quality‑control layer for the accounting function

• Develop a deep understanding of the business
• Gradually assume Controller‑level responsibilities
• Help design the long‑term finance organization
• Grow into the Controller role as the company continues to scale

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 2–3+ years of experience as an Assistant Controller
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and multi‑entity accounting
• Experience reviewing and overseeing others’ work
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment

• Experience in real estate, lending, or property management
• Background in scaling or high‑growth companies
• Strong process‑improvement mindset
