Human Resources Generalist

Job Overview

Human Resources Generalist at Butler Aerospace & Defense, located in the Shelton, CT area. Hybrid schedule; local to Shelton, CT required.

Base pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year.

• Maintain OFCCP compliance—prepare annual Merit-Based Opportunity program and Protected Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities program, manage monthly outreach, and verify new hires and applicants receive notifications.
• Manage and process annual EEO-1, VETS-4212, and CA Pay Data reporting requirements; ensure all information updated in ADP Workforce Now.
• Manage the company Federal Aviation Administration program including required training, annual reports, and regular inspections.
• Manage onboarding process.
• Manage background check and drug testing accounts.
• Manage all company training: mandatory training, employee skills training, and manager development training.
• Review, approve, and close out terminations and new hires in the BAA ticket system.
• Prepare monthly BAA insurance benefit invoices, request approvals, and notify vendors regarding payments.
• Complete and upload weekly reports related to HSA and deferred compensation.
• Respond to all company unemployment claims.
• Upload company wage garnishments into ADP Workforce Now and monitor status.
• Manage employee engagement opportunities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and Unanet preferred.
• Knowledge of system portal navigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to research state and federal laws.

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR preferred.
• 3-5 years of HR experience preferred.
