Job Overview

Hubbell is seeking a Physical Security Manager. Reporting directly to the Manager, Enterprise Security, the Physical Security Manager is responsible for the implementation and day‑to‑day operations of Hubbell’s physical security technology program.

A Day In The Life

The Physical Security Manager will routinely interface with multiple functions including, but not limited to, Site Leadership, Operations Management, Internal Audit, and Human Resources. The role is expected to design physical security systems, project manage installations, conduct site security assessments, evaluate risk, manage vendors, oversee maintenance programs, deploy new technologies, and assist with budget development.

Responsibilities
  • Design physical security systems, including video surveillance, electronic access control, and intrusion detection.
  • Project manage and oversee the installation, testing, and acceptance of physical security systems.
  • Manage and lead business‑critical project teams including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct site security assessments and ensure that appropriate measures are in place, in line with security policy framework, and track and report on improvement plans.
  • Evaluate risk and apply physical security standards to meet the needs of the facility and staff.
  • Act as a liaison and develop strong relationships with site leaders across the enterprise.
  • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of Hubbell’s security‑related policies, minimum standards, and work instructions.
  • Manage electronic security vendors, develop, and report on key performance indicators.
  • Manage and track security equipment preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Evaluate and deploy new security technologies to attain long‑term security program goals.
  • Assist with development of annual budgets and security initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of the physical security industry and associated best practices, including components such as CCTV, access control systems, fencing and gates, and other risk mitigation measures.
  • Hands‑on experience with the design, installation, and testing of physical security devices.
  • Ability to execute upon physical security strategies, goals and objectives.
  • Experience in managing day‑to‑day security operations, including conducting physical security assessments across multiple sites.
  • Ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with other lines of business and act as a security subject matter expert as part of cross‑functional project teams.
  • Ability and willingness to be on call 24/7 to respond to company‑related security emergencies and to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a corporate security organization, responsible for multiple facilities, or a related public sector organization (focused on physical security). Private sector corporate security and manufacturing environment experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and professional certifications relevant to this position.
