What You’ll DoAs a frontline teller, you’ll be the friendly face of OURCU, helping members handle daily financial needs with confidence and care. You’ll process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, and cash advances, balance your cash drawer, respond to account questions, promote OURCU products, and maintain a welcoming branch environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional, efficient, and accurate teller services (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier's checks, and cash advances).
- Balance your cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Assist members with account questions, changes, and updates.
- Promote and explain OURCU products and services that fit members’ needs, always with a member‑first approach.
- Maintain the confidentiality, security, and professionalism expected in a financial environment.
- Collaborate with teammates to keep operations smooth, secure, and efficient.
- Support a welcoming branch environment where members feel recognized and valued.
- Enthusiastic about working with people and providing outstanding customer service.
- Professional and diplomatic, handling every situation with tact, respect, and empathy.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and organization.
- Eager to learn and grow; open to feedback and continuous improvement.
- Team-oriented, valuing positivity, collaboration, and mutual support.
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- 6 months to 2 years of customer or member service experience (cash handling preferred).
- Excellent communication, math, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, and standard office equipment.
- Professional appearance, attitude, and conduct.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
