Provide occupational therapy (OT) and related services for patients while maintaining positive interaction levels with facilities and clients. Deliver quality patient care, including screening, evaluation, development of initial and ongoing treatment plans, discharge planning, supervision of assistants and rehab techs, and case management. Represent Reliant Rehabilitation’s commitment to quality and service while adhering to state and federal regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Optimize patient functionality and skills through direct OT services and oversight.
- Provide consultation and clinical supervision to COTAs.
- Directly supervise COTAs and rehab techs during group and individual treatments, promoting efficient use of resources and professional development.
- Build a strong occupational therapy program.
- Enhance clinical expertise and management skills through interaction with managers, therapists, and other professional staff.
- Maintain a valid state license and stay informed about occupational therapy and healthcare environment issues.
- Understand payment models related to billing, treatment guidelines, and delivery methods; provide quality care with realistic goals and outcomes.
- Comply with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocols.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend in English (instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, reports).
- Valid NBCOT certification.
- Valid occupational therapist state license (where applicable).
