This is a full-time position that starts at 7:30 AM and ends at 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required based on production. The focus of a Quality Assurance Team Member will be to monitor food safety and quality of all Taylor Shellfish Products. The Quality Assurance Team Member will also assist in product testing programs.

• The Quality Assurance Team Member will report directly to the Director of Processing. The main tasks will be to visually inspect, count, and weigh products to ensure they meet quality specifications and monitor GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) in each production area.
• The Quality Assurance Team will work in coordination with packing and processing teams to ensure all products are inspected.
• All quality and food safety data will be logged and reported to the management team.
• This position will assist with implementing food safety programs such as HASSP, GMPs, and SSOPs.
• The Quality Assurance Team Member may need to perform other related duties as assigned.

• Familiar with excel and other Microsoft programs
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Basic math skills
• Able to work alone for extended periods of time or with a team
• Good understanding of basic food safety and sanitation preferred but not required.
• Experience in the shellfish industry preferred.

• Be able to stand or walk on uneven ground
• Be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time
• Be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist
• Be able to lift more than 50 pounds
• Be able to use hands for fine manipulation and simple grasping, pushing, and pulling
• Vision requirements: close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with co-workers
