Job Description PURPOSE AND SCOPE:The Part-Time Specialist IV, Call Center functions as a firstresponse access point for all students. He or She receives inbound calls from faculty, staff, community members and students from allLone Star College campuses that need assistance with Admissions issues, updating student account, Registration processes, Advising information and Business Office functions. He or She provides information, direction and step by step instruction to educate students on self-service modules.

- Understanding of Call Center technologies

- Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably todo the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending;carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; ordriving an automobile. No special physical demands are required toperform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in aMicrosoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed tocarry out the functions of the position
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
- High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Hourly Pay Rate is $16.66.
