6.5 hours per day, 183 days per year (170 instructional days, 4 paid holidays, 7 planning days, 2 extended days). Contracted days may be adjusted based on start date.

• Provide instructional and health support to students with special needs.
• Assist teachers in engaging students in learning experiences.
• Create a positive, loving classroom environment for all students.

• 48 semester hours, an Associate’s Degree or a high school diploma, and passed the para educator assessment exam.
• Experience working with children with special needs.
• Organized, flexible, and a team player willing to support the needs of all students.
• Up to 10 years of comparable, full‑time, verified experience may be brought in; verification will be required by new hires.

• $20,000 life insurance policy paid for by the State of Kentucky.
• $30,000 life insurance policy paid for by Bullitt County Public Schools.
• Health insurance (employee monthly premium based on plan selected) or Waiver HRA options.
• Sick leave, personal leave, and emergency leave (pro‑rated based on start date).
• Retirement membership with Kentucky Public Pensions Authority.
• Optional dental and vision coverage.
