This position is for the 2025‑2026 school year. It is 6.25 hours per day, 183 days per year, including 170 instructional days, 4 paid holidays, 2 extended days, and 7 planning days. Contracted days may be adjusted based on start date.
Initial placement is at Old Mill Elementary School. The role is considered full‑time for benefits purposes.
Responsibilities- Assist teachers and schools in providing classroom instruction and student behavioral support.
- Address health care needs of students during the school day in accordance with state laws and district regulations.
- Support student health services and maintain professional compliance.
- Must have 48 semester hours, an associate’s degree, or a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have passed the para educator exam and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation for hire.
- New employees may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full‑time, verified experience; applicant must submit verification form to prior employer and return to HR.
- Base pay: $30,000.00/yr.
- Earnings are calculated on an hourly rate (Step 0: $15.98/hr; Step 10: $19.67/hr) spread over the year‑long contract.

- Sick, personal, and emergency leave prorated based on start date; personal leave rolls over to sick leave if not used.
