Location: 458 Pope Farm Blvd. Shepherdsville, KY 40165

Shift: Thursday – Saturday (B Shift) 6:00 am – 6:30 pm

Hourly Rate: $19.75

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship a variety of building materials
• Read and understand pick lists and paperwork
• Lift, push, and pull material bundles that weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Ensure accurate tallies and order quantities
• Operate various types of machinery as required, including an electric tugger and trailer
• Clean and tidy the work area as required
• Ensure all work is performed safely and timely
• Product binning and put away as needed

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 50lbs
• Proficiency in sit-down forklift operation
• Experience in a warehouse environment
• Solid work ethic and a positive attitude
• Strong communication skills
• Enjoy working in a team environment

Nice to Have

• Basic computer skills
• Demonstrated warehouse experience in a warehouse environment

• Safety. Your safety is important to us. We provide continuous training with all warehouse personnel for safety and operational excellence. We measure critical safety metrics monthly and take appropriate actions.
• Surroundings. You’ll be working around moving machines – order pickers, forklifts, and mobile carts.
• Activity. Some activities may require operating machinery, constant walking, repetitive lifting, and using a handheld scanner.
• Temperature. Warehouse in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Noise level. Can get noisy ring protection is provided if needed.
• Dress code. Relaxed, with PPE requirements. Metrie provides safety shoes, high-visibility shirts or vests, eye protection and gloves.
