Overview
Learn the required procedures to operate an extruder/thermoformer as a Level 1 Operator. These duties include following the production schedule and ensuring all supplies needed for production runs are available. Perform other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsEXPERIENCE:
Previous manufacturing experience required.
- Operate an extruder/thermoformer as a Level 1 Operator following the production schedule.
- Ensure all materials and supplies are available for production runs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Safety:
Must wear all assigned safety personal protective equipment at all times as required by Sabert policy. Adhere to safety policies and report issues. Must be trained to perform lockout-tagout procedures and confined space entry. Must be trained to use hand tools and power tools required for daily duties. Trained Behavior Based Safety Champion. - Cleanliness:
Maintain a neat and clean line using 6S principles and good manufacturing practices. - Material Handling:
Set up and operate material blender system to keep production line supplied; startup and operate material weigh hopper; startup and operate vacuum loading system including the vacuum control panel; understand operation, function, and cleaning requirements of the dust control system. - Quality:
Ensure produced product meets minimum quality standards; perform quality checks (part weight, proper form, lid fit, sheet thickness, water leak test, CPET oven test) at specified intervals and record results. Comply with food safety regulations (Good Manufacturing Practices and silver control procedures). - Miscellaneous:
Other related duties as assigned.
