Job Description:

Overview

The Quality Assurance position inspects product and reports vendor compliance against established criteria, typically SKU, color, size, ticketing compliance, hanger seeding, qty vs. purchase order detail.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Perform specified simple tests to verify that specifications are met and reject non-conforming material or articles.
  • Print price tickets when necessary to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Inspect and validate SKU against purchase order. Non-compliances are entered into the computer system.
  • Inspect and validate color against purchase order. Non-compliances are entered into the computer system.
  • Inspect and validate size against purchase order. Non-compliances are entered into the computer system.
  • Inspect and validate tickets against purchase order. Non-compliances are entered into the computer system.
  • Inspect and validate quantity against purchase order. Non-compliances are entered into the computer system.
  • Inspect and validate that hangers are properly seeded if purchase order requires it. Non-compliances are entered into the computer system.
Health, Safety and Environment
  • Follow basic mandatory work instructions (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
Qualifications

Experience:

  • Must be able to operate scale equipment.
  • Must be able to use measuring devices.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be able to use Warehouse Management Systems (Yantra, SAP, AS400), RF Scanner.

Knowledge and

Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to write legibly.
  • Good math skills.
  • Ability to make decisions on customer acceptance based on past experience and fitness for use.
  • Attention to detail for continuous mental and visual attention.
  • Team Player.

Managerial

Experience:

None

Additional Information

Two to three (2‑3) years in warehouse operation or quality measurement experience.

Ability to lead others.

Responsible for training of new QA I.

Audits a sample of inspected cartons to ensure accuracy of QA I.

Responsible for troubleshooting problems that QA I encounters.

The hourly wage for this position is $18.25, plus shift differential.
