Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead their MOTS & SHAP services in Shepton Mallet. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate leader who is committed to delivering high-quality support services and empowering individuals to achieve positive outcomes.
The RoleAs Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred support. You will lead and develop a team, monitor service performance, manage budgets and resources, and build strong partnerships with external organisations and stakeholders.
You will play a key role in ensuring contractual requirements and quality standards are met while driving continuous improvement across the service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, motivate and manage a team to deliver high‑quality support services.
- Monitor and improve service performance against contractual targets and quality standards.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Support, coach and develop staff to achieve their full potential.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders.
- Promote person-centred and trauma‑informed approaches across the service.
- Participate in the on‑call rota and respond to operational needs as required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience managing teams within homelessness, housing, social care, or a related support service.
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
- Experience managing service performance, budgets and achieving quality standards and contractual targets.
- A commitment to delivering person‑centred, trauma‑informed support.
- The ability to build effective relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Flexibility to participate in the on‑call rota.
- Regular travel between services and partner organisations may be required.
- Permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
- Based in Shepton Mallet.
