Production Operative; L2

What will you be doing?

• Working steadily and methodically to carry out routine manual handling tasks.
• Operating and monitoring production equipment safely
• Undertake tasks in the production areas as required including sealing product and checking for any quality issues, taking and analysing samples, monitoring and recording results as required
• Using safe working practices and relevant documentation, carry out tasks relevant to the area, such as loading and unloading Tankers and/or Lorries (using FLT) and monitor the product by taking and sampling product and packaging.
• Use business systems to accurately manage/record the movement of all forms of stock (including but not limited to finished/semi-finished goods, packaging, ingredients)
• Working within all company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Food Safety, Authenticity, Legality and Quality Standards.
• Closely monitor production quality and adjusting equipment settings to meet specification.
• Undertake Cleaning tasks relevant to the area and Cleaning in Place (CIP) of plant, silos and Tankers and other food processing equipment.
• To carry out any other work or task determined to be within your level of competence, to meet the needs of the business.

What do you need to have?

• Functional (Basic) Maths – Level 2
• Functional English Skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) – Level 2
• Basic computer skills
• Forklift Certificate (relevant to area of work)
• Good verbal and legible written communication
• Basic knowledge and understanding of operational processes and procedures
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Methodical and good attention to detail
