Position: Assembly Technician (Permanent)
An excellent opportunity for an Electronics Assembly Technician to join our well-established manufacturing client in Barnstaple.

Job Title:

Electronics Assembly Technician
Job Type: Permanent; 37.5-hour week
Salary: £25,000 per annum

Location:

Barnstaple

Responsibilities of the Electronics Assembly Technician:

Assemble components with accuracy following detailed build instructions or customer drawings.
Manufacture products in a timely manner to meet deadlines and time restraints
Complete tasks in accordance with both General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls (IPCand ISO
9001 or AS9100 standards)
Maintain a zero defects, right first-time attitude
Promote a continuous improvement approach in all tasks
Work within a zero-harm culture
Working as a willing, competent member of a team with a continuous improvement attitude.
Flexible in approach with willingness to learn new skills, such as IPCor ISO as necessary
Ability to work in an orderly manner and organised in a 6S environment.
Able to work to required KPIs with respect to quality of work, performance & output
Identifying & raising problems to the team (immediate/Wider)
Demonstrate safe behaviour at all times to ensure yourself and others are safe. Competencies/Qualifications of the Electronics Assembly Technician:

Experienced in assembly for the aerospace industry or similar high-precision industry.
Experience in working in low volume, high product mix, build-to-print environments.
Experience working in design to spec environments following customer drawings and schedules.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work as a team, thrive under pressure and deliver against deadlines.
Good numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
Experience in soldering, assembly, PCB build or wiring operations within manufacturing.
Experience working in a KPI led environment and knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques.
Accreditations in IPCor recognised ESA/ECSS are desirable.
Experience working to ISO
9001 or AS9100 standards. Benefits of the Electronics Assembly Technician:
