Trial Balance are working with a well-established accountancy practice, who are looking for an Accounts Technician to join the team in their office based near Sherborne. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with a broad skill set who enjoys a mixture of accounts preparation, bookkeeping and client contact.

As Accounts Technician, your responsibilities will include:

-Preparing year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients

-Completing bookkeeping assignments and maintaining accurate financial records

-Preparing VAT returns and supporting clients with their ongoing accounting requirements

-Dealing directly with clients and responding to queries in a professional and timely manner

-Assisting with tax and other compliance work where required

-Building strong relationships with clients and developing a good understanding of their businesses

-Working closely with colleagues to ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

As Accounts Technician, you'll bring:

Previous experience gained within an accountancy practice environment, together with a good grounding across accounts preparation and bookkeeping.

You'll be confident working independently, organised in your approach and comfortable dealing directly with clients. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a willingness to support the wider team will all be important.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountancy practice accountant who enjoys variety and wants to work in a role combining accounts, bookkeeping and regular client contact.
