Accounts Technician

Trial Balance are working with a well-established accountancy practice, who are looking for an Accounts Technician to join the team in their office based near Sherborne. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with a broad skill set who enjoys a mixture of accounts preparation, bookkeeping and client contact.

• Preparing year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
• Completing bookkeeping assignments and maintaining accurate financial records
• Preparing VAT returns and supporting clients with their ongoing accounting requirements
• Dealing directly with clients and responding to queries in a professional and timely manner
• Assisting with tax and other compliance work where required
• Building strong relationships with clients and developing a good understanding of their businesses
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

Previous experience gained within an accountancy practice environment, together with a good grounding across accounts preparation and bookkeeping.

You'll be confident working independently, organised in your approach and comfortable dealing directly with clients. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a willingness to support the wider team will all be important.
